Position Summary
This role will have accountability as the US Medical Strategy Lead to set the Cardiomyopathies imaging (Echocardiogram) medical strategies and objectives. The Director will oversee the execution of medical activities to increase knowledge to ensure safe/effective use of BMS products and translate clinical insights into actionable strategies and tactics to meet customers’ needs. This Medical Lead is responsible for partnering with US Commercialization, collaborating with WW Medical, Clinical Development teams to pursue a strategic vision for the product lifecycle within the disease area. This role will engage top Thought Leaders in the US market, translate clinical insights into actionable strategies and tactics to meet customers’ needs and markets dynamics.
Position Responsibilities
Lead the development of US medical plan/ Echocardiogram strategy and implementation strategy in the US market that is both product and disease specific in alignment with US Commercialization and WW Medical
Partner closely with colleagues in Digital Health teams, Clinical Research, Regulatory, and Health Outcomes to ensure the science, digital health landscape evolution are captured/ addressed at our strategy
Connect to the external environment to understand evolving treatment landscape, identify medical insights, and share and adjust plans as needed.
Partner with Commercial colleagues to integrate Medical perspective into the commercialization process.
Build, forecast and track/adjust the Medical budget and resources.
Provide medical review of content to align with overall strategy.
Provide Medical input/perspective at key internal and external forums
Collaborates and communicates with US Commercialization & Access organizations to integrate medical perspectives into the commercialization process and ensure appropriate alignment between commercial and medical plans.
Engages with high impact external influencers/thought leaders in the area.
Experience Requirements
Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP)
Physician, Medical Researcher/Scientist, Doctorate Pharmacist
Clinical experience is a plus
Minimum 5 years of CV or appropriate therapeutic area experience
Key Competency Requirements
Scientific expertise in CV therapeutic area
Expertise in CV imaging is a plus
Healthcare landscape knowledge & insights
Ability to organize and communicate complex scientific data
Ability to align others to support medical strategies across the CV matrix
Experience in engaging and influencing high impact national thought leaders
Strategic thinker with an enterprise mind
Strong business acumen
Excellence partnering, collaboration, influencing, and negotiation skills
Excellence verbal & written communication skills (in English)
Experience in change leadership
Ability to lead complex cross-functional project matrix teams
Experience with people management within previous positions
Ability to build and lead diverse and results-oriented high performance teams
Travel Requirement
Travel required – estimated 30% travel (US and international)
