Position Summary:

The Tier Management/Supply Impact Process Orchestrator is responsible for the coordination, process improvement, and execution (e.g., timing/scheduling, material preparation, and decision/issue cascading & follow-through) of the tier management/supply impact process across the entire GPS organization.

The Tier management/Supply Impact Process Orchestrator’s responsibilities include proactively identifying supply issues that impact patient and/or business drivers. The incumbent is accountable for aligning content & escalation level with GSC/GPS Leaders prior to managing the communication & publication (with appropriate rigor & summation) of issue management on a regular basis to Senior Leaders in the organization. This Orchestrator plays an active role in ensuring that supply sites have feasible mitigation plans with timely updates on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Triages issue management across the Quality, Biologics, Pharma, Cell Therapy and Global Supply Chain. Is responsible for consolidating issues, ensuring the appropriate priorities are assigned and processes are being followed to enable rapid resolution

  • Ensure supply issues and resolutions are communicated and elevated to the appropriate forums, based on the defined processes and escalation pathways. In doing so enables proactive and efficient risk management, and resolution

  • Provide ‘issue status’ reports to senior executive leaders in both GPS and the commercial organization highlighting progress to resolution and major risks associated with critical issues that are or have the potential too, disrupt product supply.

  • Directs teams to ensure complete root cause analysis are conducted within teams to determine why the issue arose, put mitigation steps in place to prevent it from arising in the future

  • Lead regular reviews of ‘supply issues’ tracking progress and holding teams accountable for the timely delivery of solutions and resolution. Uses those insights to undertake periodic reviews of the major themes associated with issues. With those insights to determine if there are any endemic ways of working issues that enable these issues to reoccur

  • Ensure robustness in system identified supply risks (backorder, anticipated backorder, low stock), with defined roles/responsibilities and defined cadence.

  • Leverage output/ participate as appropriate in various forums regarding supply and/or demand that have potential to create supply disruption.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business/science related function, or related field of study. Masters/MBA a plus

  • 12+ years of experience leading End-to-End supply chain planning processes (i.e., demand/forecasting, supply/inventory planning, S&OP rollout/management) in a global /companywide leadership scale of S&OP/IBP execution and implementation

  • Full understanding regarding how the demand forecast impacts financial & operational planning & performance

  • Project Management & Change Transformation capabilities

  • Ability to lead with agility and adapt quickly to competing priorities while remaining focused

  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and negotiation skills, to reach consensus, alignment, and commitment from key stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and work effectively/make informed decisions under time pressure

  • Strong communication skills (Verbal, Presentation, Written) to communicate effectively with executive level leadership such as SVPs, VPs, GMs

  • Exceptional executive-level presentation skills in delivering timely and succinct messaging to inform and elicit decision making and/or consensus

  • Experience in leading and building a high performing team, creating a culture of empowerment, innovation, inclusion and growth

  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing teams

  • Demonstrated team and cross-functional stakeholder leadership skills
