Neurology

Responsible for performing Carotid Ultrasound, Transcranial Doppler studies, and emboli detection with a high degree of technical and professional competence. The technologist is responsible for: explaining the procedure to the patient, performing the studies, recognizing and eliminating artifact, calibrating all equipment used, troubleshooting and correcting malfunctions and electing appropriate settings and obtaining quality data. The technologist must provide technical descriptions of studies.

H.S. Diploma/GED, required. Associate's Degree, preferred. Other Completion of an accredited vascular program Or 2+ years of prior vascular lab work experience and board eligible, required. BCLS, required. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) preferred.
