This position will handle responsibilities as Lead Product Manager in the Medicare member portal for the Health and Wellness product within United Healthcare's Consumer Product team.

As a Lead Product Manager, you will be partnering with market facing strategic product managers, marketing teams, business leaders, other technical product managers, engineering, and operational teams to drive solutions that directly address product requirements or enable common and shared capabilities across member facing portals. You will own or actively contribute to the product delivery roadmap for Health and Wellness and ensure the product solutions have a high degree of predictability, quality and stability while positioned to support rapid growth and speed to market. You will be accountable to ensure a holistic, integrated solution delivery, by creating detailed implementable features, identifying solution dependencies and risks, and influencing product owners and development teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to build solid and sustainable relationships, and the capability to interact within all levels of the organization, ensuring deliverables align with objectives
  • Define solutions with high-value requirements, a compelling business case, clear positioning, and strategic impact (Define)
  • Partner with stakeholders to enable successful development and delivery of commercialized solutions (Build/Launch)
  • Manage and support ongoing experience/product performance, expansion, roadmap and end-of-life decisions as appropriate (Manage/Sunset)
  • Collaborate with leadership to Prioritize Product Capabilities and Features that align to core Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)
  • Work with Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts to ensure full understanding of requirements and design
  • Act as the liaison between Business and Systems Analysts, Developers and Project Management Office
  • Serve as the digital product experience champion and subject matter expert for business and functional partners
  • Responsible for creating and managing the team’s backlog in Aha! and CA Agile, Jira including business goals, initiatives, capabilities, features, and user stories.
  • Understand the infrastructure/technology/flow of product/journey
  • Understand the system components and how they integrate
  • Positively influence outcomes across complex capabilities / initiatives
  • Serve as an influential voice for product management strategies
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
  • Ensure overall product strategy and roadmap are executed and aligned across portfolios where required

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience conducting and facilitating requirements gathering and performing business systems analysis or business process analysis
  • 5+ years of experience decomposing business requirements into features and user stories; writing technical documentation to support solution delivery including business process improvement and workflow diagrams, business process and system integration models, and technical specifications
  • 3+ years of experience in technology product solution delivery
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that made decisions across an enterprise
  • 2+ years of Agile/SCRUM experience
  • 2+ years of experience as a coach, lead or in a role that requires influencing others
  • Experience working on UI based applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand, document and describe expected outcomes, measure business value delivered, and show empathy for user experience
  • Ability to identify, understand, and drive resolution of complex critical issues
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical and non-technical employees
  • Passion for bettering the health care system
  • The ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional communication skills (at all levels of leadership)

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
