The Member Marketing Manager will lead, partner, and support the planning and execution of marketing experience campaigns and materials for Members. This role has one direct report, as well as, line of sight from onboarding and welcome to continued ongoing engagement to build the overall member experience. It is a role developed to ensure the seamless marketing experience across the member’s journey.

Working closely with our Marketing, operations and Experience teams, the successful applicant will assist with the strategy, campaign set-up, creative management, technical deployment, campaign optimization and reporting of marketing campaigns. This position will support the Surest health plan’s aggressive goals to create satisfied member satisfaction and elevate our NPS scores.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for brand integration into the member experience with an eye to creating stronger, more empowered connections for our members, allowing them to adequately self-service relevant content, create engaging member programs and campaigns to engage members in making more informed, healthier, and efficient decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans and strategic Member marketing campaigns in conjunction with our partners in Member experience and Consumer Adoption
  • Support onboarding and new member efforts, with an emphasis to bring to life the “Purple Surest” experience
  • Strategically seek opportunities to improve the onboarding to member renewal/ongoing satisfaction experience
  • Create compelling creative briefs, design direction, and facilitation of the member marketing requests across marketing and content
  • Manage digital strategies and execution of Member campaigns (website, app, mobile, email & direct mail)
  • Assist with content deployment in digital platforms and tools, as needed
  • Working closely with our Operations partners, the successful applicant will assist with the deployment of member ID cards, EOBs, member comms, campaign optimization and reporting of marketing campaigns
  • Partner with digital team members for the implementation of digital and e-marketing tactics
  • Ability to inspire others with ideas to re-invigorate Member experiences, transforming how we come to life as an empowered, transformative Health plan
  • Collaboration and partnership with content strategy team to create engaging content for members to depict Bind as a world-class health plan
  • Ideate ways to improve member satisfaction and sell ideas through to create an unmatched member experience which puts the power, choice and flexibility of our plan in their hands
  • Ensure all content and marketing is managed through the required approval process (CD, legal, editorial review) to achieve a high standard of excellence
  • Develop monthly reporting and key insights on campaign performance and optimization

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • 3+ years of consumer marketing campaign development and implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital and email marketing
  • Experience in managing complex projects across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Team player who enjoys working in cross-functional teams and a matrix work environment
  • Exceptional communication skills, very organized and detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Ability to create content and passion for communications to make consumer’s lives healthier and improve health care outcomes
  • Advanced technical knowledge a plus (email/Braze, Workfront (PM)), proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight time constraints, providing near real-time insights to team members to ensure targets are achieved
  • Creative problem solver with advanced problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
