The Sr. Manager Dispatch Operations develops strategies for achieving optimal routing and dispatching processes to help grow operations and continue to provide superior service to our internal and external customers. Helps guide staff toward providing professional, efficient, and knowledgeable support in each of their interactions. Proactive and future-focused constantly working on improving policies and procedures, and manage team with hands-on approach. Takes pride in highly-functioning team and enjoying leading the charge towards customer satisfaction and company success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Creates the department vision, strategy, goals, and objectives and communicates it to departmental staff
  • Hire, develop and coach direct reports in role and support their competency and capability development
  • Maintains an inspired culture that is time based and centered on integrity and customer focus
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, execute, and complete complex analyses on schedule and within budget
  • Prepares and manages the departmental budget for inclusion in overall company budgeting process
  • Observe the effectiveness of daily routing activities to ensure all established Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and customer satisfaction goals are met
  • Evaluate metrics and adjust activities to meet or exceed performance expectations
  • Lead, execute and manage routing and dispatch support teams and routing process from end to end
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership; experienced partnering with other leaders to understand and address their needs
  • Suggest efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assist with the implementation of delivery changes
  • Networks with industry professionals to understand current trends and best practices
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation Management or a related field (4 years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree)
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a managerial role
  • Experience with Dispatch Software or Transportation Management Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Professional Dispatching and Scheduling (PDS) certification through Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) within first six months of employment, cost covered by ComfortCare Transportation
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a managerial role
  • Industry specific experience in non-emergency medical transportation
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of planning, organizational, analytical, and financial skill
  • Strategic thinking, tactical planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Customer centric mindset for supporting internal and external customers
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • High degree of stress tolerance

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
  • Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
