Position Summary:

The Sr. Manager of CAR-T Supply Chain planning is responsible to support the development and execution of the global supply planning for BMS autologous clinical and commercial supply.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the supply and demand balance using a structured S&OP process. Identify key issues and imbalances and work with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve. This can be related to production capacity, logistics, equipment or carrier availability, demand deviations, raw material supply issues, etc.

  • Align demand forecast (vs operational plan, revised forecast plan) relative to our critical materials inventory and production capabilities

  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites on weekly and monthly Pre-S&OP reviews to ensure timely supply of raw materials.

  • Generate supplier forecasts and critical material orders , manage inventory allocations externally and internally .

  • Support multiple supply chain projects associated with the set-up and product launch for autologous therapies and all life-cycle management activities

  • Set up and maintain planning data parameters required for planning and reporting including safety stock modeling in alignment with storage capacity

  • Set up and maintain Bill of materials in Planning systems, lead periodic reviews with various stakeholders.

  • Provide primary point of contact for day-to-day decision-making and elevation/resolution of issues relating to supply and inventory for autologous products

  • Identify opportunities and support the creation of new business processes to support supplying autologous products

  • Lead cross-functional projects and convene cross-functional meetings to resolve issues

  • Partner with other stakeholders to create and implement best practices

  • Participate with the scale-up and commercialization of new products

  • Manage and track supply and demand metrics, including:

  • Support development and tracking of appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement

  • Develop the monthly production volume plan using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters

  • Partner with Site Planning to ensure manufacturing schedule is consistent with the S&OP plan via MRP functionality

Supply Chain Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain tools to manage supply chain projects, monitor and analyze manufacturing and QC Raw material/Consumable inventories to provide insights, recommendations and solutions to the business

  • Continue to develop and implement strategic planning tools and enhance/improve the current Supply Chain Planning systems

  • Ensure strong collaborative relationship within Supply Chain group and externally with Commercial and Clinical to consistently elevate the quality of thinking and ideas applied to the business

  • Responsible for data integrity of the key databases for KPI accuracy and analysis of an organization’s business goals (SCM KPIs) and what factors will contribute to or impede the ability to obtain those goals; based on analysis, make recommendations on how to overcome factors impeding goals

  • Plan and manage projects according to the specifications and deadlines

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical/industrial engineering or supply chain operations or related field is required

  • 8+ years of overall relevant experience, including 3-yrs of plant or supply chain planning/scheduling experience preferred

  • Experience in Sales and Operations Planning required

  • Minimum of 2-yrs of supervisory experience is preferred. Previous experience mentoring/guiding/training other supply chain team members preferred

  • Prior experience interacting with production, marketing, demand planning, pharmaceutical quality and regulatory organizations preferred

  • Prior experience planning in a multiple manufacturing site and/or contract manufacturing environment preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Hands-on team leader and team player willing to work in an environment where individual initiative, accountability, and professional maturity are required

  • Must have strong analytical skills

  • Able to synthesize information into a presentation appropriate to the organizational-level of the audience. Able to summarize information concisely and communicate it using appropriate medium

  • Must be able to work with limited day-to-day supervision.

  • Strong PC experience, Microsoft Office Suite experience required including; Excel; Outlook; PowerPoint

  • Oracle EBS / Advance Supply Chain Planning or SAP experience required.

  • APICS certification is a plus.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $114,000 - $144,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation is decided based on demonstrated experience.
