Role Purpose

Provides financial reports, analysis and consultation to support the financial management of the department. May manage all material resources that support the clinical activities throughout assigned department. Collaborates with the leaders of the department. Coordinates, prepares and monitors clinical area budgets and the overall departmental budget. Identifies cost reduction strategies in the management of human and material resources. May also be responsible for identifying and initiating cost reduction strategies in the management of human and material resources, directing and coordinating technical material and human resources related to strategic information systems to achieve measurable business results.

Responsibilities

Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.Manages the various operational and capital budget processes, including monitoring subsequent actual costs against the budgets, for both non-clinical and clinical areas, as applicable.Provides financial reports, analysis and consultation to support the financial management of the department.Works with IS to identify computer hardware and software needs in support of the department.
