The Field Reporting and Analytics lead will be accountable for leading field force analytics and reporting for the MASA, ARMs and HEOR teams. The role supports call plan development reporting, mapping and alignments as well as ensuring cross functional collaboration, communication and alignment with Payer Marketing and the broader VAP matrix teams. In addition to supporting Field tools such as Onelook, the lead in this role will identify drivers of top and bottom performance and recommend opportunities for improvement. They will lead the development of field metrics and monitoring of key metrics to provide actionable insights to leaders of supported customer facing teams. They will inform field leaders on managing through processes that impact their teams including but not limited to Operations and performance. The ability to independently manage multiple deliverables and shifting priorities with strong skills in project management, collaboration and communication will be key to success. This individual will partner and lead offshore support staff and key matrix partners by guiding field analytics and insights and help to optimize pull through of portfolio priorities.

Purpose/Objective of the job

  • Enables seamless development and execution of access-related reports, targeting, adhoc analytics, and flawless data interpretation

  • Evaluates existing access-based reports and activities to ensure continuous quality improvement and alignment with the organization’s objectives

  • Develops standardized cross-brand KPIs and works with Analytics leadership, VA&P matrix teams, and other relevant business stakeholders to define streamlined reports and for business stakeholders

Core Activities

  • Responsible for generating, managing, and deploying access-related scorecards and reporting tools for field and home office audiences. Works across BI&A to ensure reports are aligned with field sales reporting rules and views

  • Performs QA/QC for field and home office access-based scorecards and reports, escalating issues to leadership where appropriate

  • Links sales and performance data and performs analyses to help identify outlier accounts and uncover business opportunities at the brand level

  • Manages all aspects of VAP Field alignment updates, including soliciting and validating changes from the field, balancing workload, and providing final inputs to DCG; work with VA&P Sales Leadership as the BI&A point for all large-scale alignment projects

  • Ensures appropriate service delivery to VA&P stakeholders, as defined by stakeholder need and leadership direction

  • Helps define resourcing requirements, based on standard and anticipated variable support needs

  • Manage the implementation of the OC hierarchy for VA&P, including quarterly QC and updates of input data, integration with Customer Master, etc.

  • Support the monthly formulary change review process with AE teams

  • Manages and executes the evaluation, improvement, and development of access self-service reporting tools/capabilities

  • Analyzes access report processes in relation to organizational needs to anticipate and define capability and process requirements

  • Proactively anticipates report and adhoc analytic requests to improve upon demand management processes, where appropriate
    Works with relevant business teams team to understand data and define standard/ customized metrics and deliverable templates for reports and adhoc analytics

  • Collaborates with VA&P, brand payer teams, and sales leadership to identify business requirements for effective scorecards, reports, and adhoc analytics

  • Partners with the broader VA&P Analytics team to ensure appropriate demand management of on- and offshore resources

  • Partners with technology and operations leadership to further develop reporting capabilities

Requirements

  • BA/BS required

  • MBA or Masters in a quantitative major or concentration preferred

  • 3-5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a strong focus in the payer and market access areas preferred

  • Expertise working with large and complex sources of payer and sub-national industry data (e.g., APLD and claims data, retail and mail order Rx, formulary and medical policy, reimbursement, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to not only manipulate large data sets, but also draw inferences from disparate pieces of data and interpret findings to address strategic and tactical business questions

  • Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet project timelines and to balance standard and adhoc deliverables

  • Understanding of the payer and access environment

  • Working knowledge of secondary healthcare data specific to the market access space (e.g. prescription and patient databases)

  • Ability to frame analytic findings in a digestible and business friendly format that identifies key business implications

  • Creative business problem solving skills to design processes and deliver timely results for requests

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and experience operating successfully in a complex, matrix organization

  • Ability to learn new tools quickly

  • Established performance management skills with proficiency in a broad range of methodologies including qualitative and quantitative design and data analysis)
