This Manager will be a member of BMS’s Template and Clause Management Team (TCMT), and will help support our global enterprise-wide contract management policy and related standards and guidance (collectively, the Contracting Policy). This role will also be responsible for providing support on various contracting infrastructure projects (e.g., SharePoint, contracting guidance and tools), all in close collaboration with BMS Contract Legal Support, BMS Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) as well as other key stakeholders, globally. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Strategic Corporate Transactions, Contract Process, Policy and Infrastructure.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the maintenance of contract clauses and templates in the contract lifecycle management system and other contract template repositories in close collaboration with BMS Contract Legal Support, BMS IT (as applicable), and stakeholders.

  • Managing the intake of template/clause change requests and coordinating attendant reviews, change impact assessments, stakeholder communications, repository updates, and template/clause governance.

  • Support the management and maintenance of the Contracting Policy, including deviations/exceptions to the Contracting Policy.

  • Provide support to end-users, third party providers of contract services, and other stakeholders with regard to the Contracting Policy and related operational questions.

  • Develop, manage and update the department’s SharePoint site(s) to continuously improve stakeholder communication and knowledge management; manage intake forms and tools accordingly.

  • Develop and deliver training to various client groups and contracting stakeholders, as needed, including third party providers of contracting and related services, regarding contract management, the Contracting Policy, and related policies and procedures.

  • Manage department’s outlook mailbox accounts.

  • Support enterprise-wide contract management and development activities and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on experience with contract management, processes and systems and/or strong project management experience at a global company.

  • Experience building, structuring, and maintaining SharePoint sites.

  • Ability to listen to and understand internal client needs, communicate with clients and senior management with confidence and diplomacy.

  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and complete multiple assignments in a timely and professional manner.

  • Ability to set priorities and work independently, effectively and efficiently to meet changing business objectives.
