BJC HealthCare MedGroup is seeking a Part-Time LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) – IV certified for our Cancer/Infusion Center Outpatient Office located in the Missouri Baptist Medical Center – East Pavilion Tower.

Position Details:
Day Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-2:30
- Start Peripheral IVs
- Obtain vital signs
- Maintains accurate and prompt charting in patient record
- Initiate IV therapy such as antibiotics, iron, and IV fluids
- Highly skilled in starting peripheral IVs on patients with limited access
- Fast pace environment

Role Purpose
Provides direct patient care activities including IV management, utilizing the nursing process, under the supervision of the RN.
Responsibilities
Implements treatments and procedures within the scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse.Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provides patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in professional development and life long learning.Performs patient assessment and evaluation with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.Assists in developing and updating the plan of care with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.Implements plan of care with regard to the patient‘s age and developmental needs.Minimum Requirements
