Charge Nurse - 12 Months
The Department of Children and Families (DCF), Office of Education seeks a qualified candidate for a Charge Nurse 12 months. This position will be itinerant to provide necessary nursing coverage to our Southern Region Schools including Atlantic Campus, Burlington Campus, Cape May Campus, Cherry Hill Campus, and Cumberland Campus as needed. Home base will be determined based on where the selected candidate resides.
The Charge Nurse provides medical assistance and/or guidance to the physically and/or mentally ill, is responsible for the care and well-being of the patients and the maintenance of quarters in an assigned area and supervises the work programs and activities of a staff of nurses providing care to patients in an assigned area; does related work as required.
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of experience as a professional nurse in a hospital or other institution, clinic, or medical center.
SPECIAL NOTE: Appointee must possess the ability to physically lift, move and position clients as needed.
LICENSE: Registration as a professional nurse in the State of New Jersey.

LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

SALARY: $60,711.81 - $86,030.97.
