As a Per Diem Utilization Management Nurse at UnitedHealth Group, you will make sure our health services are administered efficiently and effectively. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Determine the appropriateness of inpatient and outpatient services following evaluation of medical guidelines and benefit determination
  • Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
  • Translate concepts into practice
  • Act as a resource for others; provide explanations and information on difficult issues

Required Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted RN license in state of residence
  • 3+ years of Managed Care and/or Clinical experience
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Case Manager (CCM)
  • Pre-authorization experience
  • Utilization Management experience
  • Case Management experience
  • Knowledge of Milliman Criteria
