The Outpatient Stem Cell Transplantation, Leukemia and Lymphoma team serves patients and families with hematologic malignancies. Role Purpose

Responsible for leading the operations and expansion of the outpatient cellular therapy and stem cell transplant programs, Medical and Gynecological Oncology Ambulatory areas, in partnership with the VP Siteman Cancer Center, Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJH) Senior Leadership, BJC Strategy, Siteman Cancer Center Marketing and Outreach teams, and Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM) clinical/business partners.

Responsibilities

Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.Ensures effective coordination and collaboration with medical staff.Identifies and establishes a vision and strategic plan for the expansion of Stem Cell and Cellular Therapy programs at Siteman Cancer Center.Plans, develops, and directs outpatient operations of department and integrates services with other departments within BJH/BJC/WUSM.Leads, implements and monitors care to ensure the highest level of clinical outcomes.Manages contractual agreements with various organizations on a national basis related to cellular therapy and stem cell transplant charges and costs. Validates costs for accuracy and ensures cost reimbursement is maximized.
