Principal Objective of the Position:

  • Support and drive the hematology and oncology annual budget and projection processes
  • Drive monthly close process and closely partner with marketing and medical in the development of expense projections
  • Lead local transfer costing process, serve as market point person for tax group on legal entity costs matters
  • This position will support the Hema/Onco Sales forecasting including understanding market dynamics, demand, inventory and GTN assumptions
  • Provide value added insights and guidance to business partners on broad range of business decisions including resource allocations
  • Lead financial planning and analysis supporting Hema/Onco team

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop projections and budgets
  • Prepares monthly USP financial templates for assigned brands
  • Prepares and discuss local market month end financial reporting schedules with finance director
  • Work closely with Marketing, Market Research and Medical to identify business trends, report weekly/monthly results, and perform variance analysis
  • Monitor key business issues, act as financial advisor for the business partners
  • Analyze and track sales and demand performance as well as inventory and GTN assumptions in collaboration with Marketing, Operations, VAP, and OTC teams
  • Ensure local market transfer prices are established following corporate tax group guidance.
  • Monitoring business performance and reporting results, challenging results, and developing recommendations to improve financial performance
  • Input budget and projection information into corporate reporting systems (Hyperion, Excel, RPM) etc.
  • Work closely with local controller to identify and solve legal entity profitability and cash flow issues
  • Assist finance director on ad hoc projects as necessary
  • Partnering with Hema/Onco management to ensure appropriate resource allocation decisions are made and expenses are within plan expectations
  • Develop excel files to be used by brand managers to prepare budget and projection Gross and net sales forecasts
  • Assist business partners in the preparation of ad hoc decks for presentations
  • Revise sales force incentive plans payout calculations templates and schedules

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, confidence in dealing with people at all levels both locally, regionally, and globally
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Hyperion and SAP
  • Must have ability to manage multiple tasks, be well organized, and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Excellent inter-personnel and problem-solving skills
