This is a 3-year grant-funded position that will extend into 2026, with the intention of seeking permanent and/or additional grant-funding past that date, as available.

Summary:

  • Demonstrates leadership for program development, coordination of care, and outcome analytics for the Geriatric Oncology program at Penn Medicine Princeton Health. Provides supervision to staff within this program. Works with Director of Cancer Services, Medical Director of Cancer Program, Medical Director of Geriatric Oncology, and others to ensure quality and growth of services.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates knowledge, skill and coordination needed to provide administrative oversight of the Geriatric Oncology Program.
  • Manages a multidisciplinary care team that includes Nurse Navigators, Research Nurses, behavioral health staff, and other clinical providers.
  • Manages program budget by implementing resources within constraints of funding.
  • Tracks and monitors program analytics which demonstrate the quality and volume of services provided.
  • Develops and refines processes that support the clinical care team and growth of the program.
  • Partners with the interdisciplinary team and community resources to provide well-coordinated, timely, compassionate, and multidisciplinary care.
  • Works with the care team to investigate and implement novel technologies and treatment methods.
  • Actively participates in various Cancer Service Line committees and meetings. Provide expert content and representation as requested. Lead data collection, analysis and distribution for Geriatric Oncology Program.
  • Manages interviewing, selection and orientation of staff; conduct performance appraisals; and handle all issues related to scheduling and performance management.
  • Develop work goals for the department consistent with institutional and departmental goals and policy.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
  • Healthcare related field and 5+ years experience in oncology or a related field Geriatric oncology experience preferred
  • Master of Arts or Science
  • Healthcare related field and 5+ years experience in oncology or a related field Geriatric oncology experience preferred
