Schedule:
Mon. - Thurs. 1130am- 8pm. Fri. Day Shift
Summary:
- Under the direction of the radiologist, the MR technologist performs a variety of MR procedures on pediatric and adult patients. They have the ability to perform all MR procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, magnetic field safety and cross sectional anatomy.
Responsibilities:
- Obtains patient history, explains the procedure, gains consent for contrast material administration and address any patient concerns prior to beginning the procedure.
- Performs all necessary checks for accuracy of the prescription, precertification/authorization if required by individual insurance companies, Soarian order and patient identification.
- Perform all MR procedures following the appropriate imaging protocols.
- Compiles and reviews images, provides applicable comparison studies, and prepares documentation for interpretation.
- Performs quality control testing as required.
- Clean, adjust and perform routine maintenance on equipment; stock and replenish supplies as required.
Credentials:
- Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program resulting in a two year certificate and/or associate degree (Required)
- Bachelor of Arts or Science (Preferred)
