The Patient Access Representative is responsible for greeting patients and collecting, recording and balancing payments.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour evening shift schedules during our normal business hours of (8:00pm - 1:30pm). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at Emergency Department 100 Medical Plaza, St Louis, MO 66367.
- Greet patients
- Coordinate patient flow
- Assist patients with intake or admitting processes
- Collect co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles
The pace is fast, so your ability to multi-task is essential. You should also enjoy working with people and have the communication skills necessary to build strong relationships with our patients.

- High school diploma / GED (or higher)
- Ability to work Monday – Friday from 4:30PM-1am, working every other weekend and every other holiday.
- Ability to work onsite in St. Charles MO
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.
- 1+ years of related work experience, including data entry
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
- Experience working in the insurance field.
- Ability to read and interpret office forms and insurance cards and understand referrals
- Effective communication and customer service skills
