Role Purpose

Provides audiologic services for outpatients and inpatients. Evaluates hearing and the auditory system. Counsel patients/parents regarding results and recommendations. Manage follow-up and/or treatment as warranted.

Responsibilities

Conducts basic audiologic tests.Performs specialized testing as needed after appropriate training is provided.Obtains case history information pertinent to audiology services.Interprets past and present audiologic results for parents and professionals.Makes appropriate recommendations and determines the need for referral to specialists in related areas.
