Looking for a Phlebotomist with a desire to learn and grow. We are looking for either experienced or entry level Phlebotomist to join our forward thinking team.
- Day shift (9:30am-2pm)
- Rotating weekend and holidays
- Sign-on bonus eligible up to $1,000
Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care.
The Laboratory Department provides a wide variety of assays and procedures to obtain data used in the diagnosis and treatment of most disease states to our inpatient and out patients. Services include phlebotomy, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, point-of-care and pathology.
Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.
ResponsibilitiesPerform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
