Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties.

The hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St. Louis area.

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics providing quality health care to surrounding communities. In addition, the hospital operates a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers.

Physical, occupational and speech therapies are offered at the Sullivan Sports Fitness & Rehabilitation Center, 216 West Main Street.� The Center offers a full range of therapies with the equipment and staff to treat children and adults with traumatic head or spinal injuries; cerebral vascular accidents; orthopedic or sports injuries; swallowing or language disorders; and burns. The Center provides an exercise specialist and massage therapist, and operates a fully equipped exercise facility open to the community through memberships. The Physical Rehab Dept is certified by the Missouri State Division of Workers' Compensation to treat occupational injuries.


Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Provides skilled treatments to patients as prescribed by the physician and directed by a licensed physical therapist as specified in their health care service setting.

Responsibilities

Implements treatment plan as developed by the licensed physical therapist.Collaborates with the licensed physical therapist on an agreed upon frequency to assess and reassess patient?s plan of care, treatment goals and interventions.Documents patient progress in daily notes and weekly notes (as applicable), as well as contributes recommendations to patient?s discharge note from physical therapy.Assists with guidance for clinical fieldwork students under the supervision of the physical therapist.Reports on interventions and patient progress during assigned meetings and contributes to the screening and evaluation process.
