Please be advised that this role is also a hands-on development position where the proper candidate will be involved with architecting, developing, implementing, deploying, and supporting custom internally developed software.
Desired Candidate Characteristics:
Have a strong commitment to a career in technology with a passion for healthcare
7-10 years’ experience in IT with demonstrated success in delivering and supporting SaaS and custom-built solutions and managing/partnering with software vendors and service providers.
2-3 years’ experience in IT with demonstrated success in delivering and supporting Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) preferably BIOVIA SYMYX ELN, COTS applications, custom-built C#.NET solutions.
1-2 years’ hands on experience in AWS or Azure or GCP cloud computing platforms
Experience in performing ELN platforms system administration tasks
Experience in engaging with multiple stake holders to understand current architecture, data flows and downstream integration points
Experience in developing ELN templates, workflows, custom fields and associated report methods by following coding standards and best practices.
Experience in working with other system administrators and end users/customers to help configure and develop functions based on business requirements.
Experience in troubleshooting connectivity issues, custom field calculations, and optimize processing methods.
Experience in account creation, role-based security, reporting, instrument interfaces, data interfaces, system auditing and monitoring
Troubleshoot connectivity issues, custom field calculations, and optimize processing methods.
Experience in developing applications/templates to extend and customize BIOVIA ELN application using ELN SDK
Experience with BIOVIA products like (Pipeline Pilot, Workbook, LIMS etc...)
Knowledge of BENCHLING, PE E-Notebook & DOTMATICS is a plus.
Ability to understand the needs of the business and commitment to deliver the best user experience and adoption
Must have knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and of computer systems validation (CSV)
Knowledge of cGXP and 21CFR Part11 standards.
Deep analytical skills and logical thinking to identify and resolve technical issues.
Experience managing offshore technical development team.
Experience with creating architectural diagrams/understanding of infrastructure setups/managing deployments ranging with varying complexities.

Experience in web development, application development using Visual Studio .NET technologies like C#, ASP.NETMVC 5, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML Web services, WCF and WPF

Knowledgeable in RDBMS/RDS such as Oracle, SQL server and PostgreSQL.
Knowledgeable in Agile software development, Service-oriented architectures, Continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Knowledgeable in integration technologies such as WebMethods.
Experience with AWS platform and third-party SaaS products.
Able to collaborate across multiple teams
Strong Project Management skills, and experience with agile and scrum methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Accountable for the controlled production support and life cycle management for multiple application (ELN, LIMS, COTS & Custom Applications) used by Pharmaceutical Development within Global Product Development & Supply.
Collaborate with Business and IT Plan functions to develop solutions for business problems including defining business requirements, provide project timelines and budget, develop acceptance criteria, testing, training, and change management plans.
Contributes heavily towards developing a plan for development activities and translates those into actionable projects. These include releases, required modifications and discretionary enhancements to support the application life-cycle.
Manage the ELN and related applications portfolio to ensure the delivery of digital capabilities are being met in accordance with the IT Operating Model.
Accountable for managing day to day operational support, enabling the business to scale while improving key performance indicators impacting their efficiencies and improving overall customer experience. Defined both long-term strategies and short-term/immediate resource needs.
Accountable for delivering on project implementations and operational support commitments.
Collaborate directly with the business clients, IT Business Partners and other IT functions on delivery of digital capabilities.
Monitor IT service provider resource consumption, review demand and change requests for support work related to custom applications.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Requires advanced knowledge applicable to a wide range of work in own function and thorough knowledge of other functions.
6-8 years of relevant experience.
May lead initiatives related to continuous improvement or implementation of new technologies. Works independently on most deliverables.
Demonstrates ability to build and leverage relationships through diplomacy with a broader focus within the Function.
Articulates and presents complex information clearly and concisely across all levels. Ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise thereby establishing a strong reputation for themselves and the team.
