Job Description

The Director of Human Resources Organizational Readiness (OR) is responsible for driving highly innovative and targeted workforce engagement strategies, messages and tactics to effectively connect with our Company's workforce and drive awareness and adoption of HR’s brand, programs and policies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team of OR specialists and has a strong record of managing high-performance teams. He/she is a strong team leader, thought leader in best practices for effective workforce change and marketing communications, is experienced in strengthening HR’s internal branding, has an employee-centric focus, and can adapt message and strategy development for transformational initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team responsible for fueling employee engagement by amplifying our HR communications. That includes engaging with our workforce on HR strategies, programs and cyclical activities related to Total Rewards, Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion, HR Services, Talent Acquisitions, and more.

  • Bring extensive expertise in shaping effective outreach strategies to our workforce - delivering innovative, high-impact and audience-centric HR interactions and messaging.

  • Lead the creation of a strong narrative for HR to strengthen our talent value proposition internally across all internal digital platforms, and support HR leaders with messaging externally, as needed.

  • Represent HR as the change and communications lead on enterprise-level transformational initiatives and disaster/crisis management programs, as needed.

  • Provide strategic direction for our HR Employee and Manager Portal and other digital employee informational and educational resources and continually review and incorporate best practices to amplify HR messaging.

  • Develop monitoring tools to assess the impact of internal strategies and make necessary adjustments to enable desired outcomes.

  • Build a strong internal and external network of partners to engage as needed for the development of innovative marketing, informational and educational HR resources.

Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Communications, Marketing or Journalism (Required).

  • Master's degree in a field related to Communications, Marketing or Journalism (Preferred).

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 12+ years of progressive work experience in the development and implementation of innovative change and marketing communications strategies.

  • Experience in HR/Employee Communications.

  • Strong people management skills with the ability to build, coach, inspire and engage a high-performing team.

  • Strategic thinker who can translate complex concepts into actionable, understandable plans and programs.

  • Excellent and demonstrated skills in working with senior leadership and building strong stakeholder relationships in a cross-functional environment.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across all areas of HR to ensure the outcomes achieve the strategy and is relevant for our workforce.

  • Communications expert and an agent of change with expertise in engaging workforces in transformative initiatives.

  • Solid understanding of evolving digital landscape and best practices related to organizational readiness.

  • Experience of working in a large matrixed environment, Pharmaceutical industry experience would be an asset.
