Job Description

The Associate Director, Human Health (HH) IT Communications is responsible for building, executing, and sustaining internal technology organization communication strategies and programs. With a digital-first mindset that informs, inspires, and engages employees globally, this leader will help authentically tell the story of how our Company is using technology to improve lives. This includes collaborating with global leaders and partners to establish core positioning and narrative to build and execute a strategic communications plan and raise awareness of the technology organization and its solutions, (both internally and externally).

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing an internal communications plan for HH IT to inspire shared vision across the organization and provide the right information, to the right stakeholders and at the right time.

  • Partnering with HH IT Change lead to define and execute effective communication plans to drive transparency, awareness and adoption of the HH IT transformation (i.e. “Tone from the top” messaging, walking/onboarding decks).

  • Working with key stakeholders across HH IT to understand the value of our products and solutions and communicate them to key internal and external stakeholders (e.g.. outcome-focused success stories).

  • Developing print, audio and electronic communication materials to inspire colleagues across the globe to embrace change, change our ways of working, and drive higher value for our business partners while underscoring our company mission.

  • Leveraging a variety of channels and digital media to effectively reach target audiences, including HH IT employees/contractors, business partners, potential future talent.

  • Integrating the broader company’s employee engagement and communications themes into HH IT internal communications.

  • Using metrics to define and assess the effectiveness of communications.

  • Orchestrating distribution of the organization's messages through special events, public speaking or other means to reach defined audiences to meet specific program objectives.

  • Supporting HH IT leadership on key internal communications events.

  • Supporting change management activities with relevant communications activities.

  • Bringing HH IT stories to the global and divisional employee audience.

  • Working closely with our network of regional and divisional communications colleagues to activate our strategic campaigns.


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.

  • At least 7 years of experience in public relations/communications and proven ability to work with business leaders.

  • Knowledge of communications discipline (channel management, content development, strategy input, program delivery).

  • Proven ability to translate complex information, developments and challenges into compelling communications for key stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills across a variety of mediums / channels.

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, think strategically and show creative problem solving in response to the communications challenges and opportunities.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and influence business partners.

  • Strong content management abilities across multiple internal and external digital platforms; attention to detail and ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

  • PowerPoint mastery.

  • Ability to develop innovative ways to drive communications in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Team player, collaborative spirit, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-visibility role.

  • Possesses passion, energy, and desire to drive results.

Preferred:

  • Experience with change management communications.

  • Experience working in technology and / or pharmaceutical industry.
