To learn more about building your career with the Akima portfolio of companies, visitwww.akima.com.**Job Sumamry:**The incumbent will work as a member of the HR Compliance department and provide human resource support in specific functions or disciplines to management and staff for the Akima family of companies. This position is viewed as entry to mid-level support staff member who assists management with HR programs at the tactical level. Performs all essential duties and responsibilities at the direction of the Senior Manager, HR Compliance.**Responsibilities:**+ Maintain electronic employee records by creating employment files for new hires, and filing daily electronic documents into files, ensuring they are secure, confidential and kept current.+ Respond to internal employment file inquiries to support internal and external audits.+ Support external inquiries for employee information by Office of Personnel Management.+ Maintain record retention process in tracking electronic files and purging of approved records according to policy.+ Assist with I-9 and E-Verify process to include identifying missing or incomplete I-9s or E-Verify records, maintenance of special filing system, follow-up on missing information, and supporting audit process.+ Order and ship labor law posters for phased-in contracts.+ Support other HR Compliance programs as needed, such as: AAP, DOT Tracking, EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reporting processes.+ Prepare letters, mailing, and correspondence for HR management and professional staff.+ Assist with HR tools and resources for management and staff to accomplish their goals and objectives.+ Perform other duties as assigned.**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:**+ High School diploma and a minimum of 3 years of experience in professional HR environment.+ Experience working with a multiple-site workforce.+ Intermediate to expert level computer skills with strong proficiency in MS Excel.+ Proven experience being results-oriented, hands-on, strong customer service orientation with demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.+ Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and meet competing priorities and deadlines.+ Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail.+ Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in all business matters.+ Ability to pass a background check.**Equipment & Applications:**+ Familiarity with HRIS systems (i.e. CostPoint)+ PCs, laptops, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook), SharePoint+ Internet and IntranetThe duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
