Job Summary

Responsible for providing support in the functional areas of Human Resources including compensation, benefits, staffing, employee relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), employee development, and related areas. Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and related government regulations.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Under close supervision, supports activities in one or more functional areas of human
  • Researches and consolidates information required for analysis of human resources
  • May prepare recommendations on assigned

  • Assist Recruiter with scheduling interviews, processing paperwork, miscellaneous recruiting needs.

  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(OFNM) Office Field Non-Manual

Performs deskwork, including writing, computer work station processes, and telephone operations. Arranges for and\or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal or informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting.

Amentum has joined with Bechtel to create an LLC, known as the Waste Treatment Completion Company (WTCC) to construct, start-up and commission the world’s largest radioactive-waste treatment plant for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in southeastern Washington state. The project will use vitrification technology to process and stabilize 53 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste currently stored at the Hanford Site which is a byproduct of plutonium-production during World War II and the Cold War era.

The project is the largest undertaking of its kind ever and one of DOE’s most technically challenging cleanup projects equivalent to building two nuclear power plants. Its construction site spans 65 acres and includes facilities for pretreatment, low-activity waste vitrification, and high-level waste vitrification, as well as an analytical laboratory.


Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or business-related field.

Experience:

  • 1 year in Human Resource experience is required, education in human resources may be substituted for
  • Basic understanding of federal, state, and local employment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to learn the corporate HRMS
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and
  • Experience working with confidential information.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
