Amentum is seeking a Human Resources Generalist in West Palm Beach, FL to work as part of a close knit team, as well as independently, to accomplish a range of functions as you support AUTEC. As a member of the team you will:

  • Serves as an internal resource to solve more difficult problems related to functional HR areas.
  • Develops and/or recommends new policies, practices, and programs to meet management and employee needs.
  • Maintains knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, and state and federal labor laws applicable to assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Partners with business groups as needed on pricing (with Compensation), determining customer needs, finding solutions to make capture successful.
  • Partners with business groups on hiring needs and serve as a liaison for successful posting, hiring and orienting new team members.
  • Supports a variety of employment/ HR activities for the designated program(s).
  • Responsible for the HR function between assigned strategic business group, third party administrators and corporate office.
  • Serves as point of contact for managers and employees, as needed regarding employee relations issues.
  • Ensures proper training is being accomplished by customers, for their position as well as for managers in executing their duties in HR related matters, such as merit and performance management.
  • Ensures execution of corporate HR programs such as benefits enrollment, merit increases, management incentives, performance management and community service activities
  • Creates and maintains HR files and updates the information system in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Validates and prepares FSA Contracts for those supporting overseas operations, modification to the contracts, or end of employment letters.
  • Position may be assigned to a specific targeted business area and may require additional or specific job duties related to assigned function which are not aforementioned
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.


Minimum Requirements

  • Must currently work on existing AUTEC contract in order to be eligible for this position.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S government security clearance.
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in Human Resources environment. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management preferred, Associate’s Degree required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources may be substituted for each year of the Associate’s degree. Federal government contracting industry experience is highly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Human Resources functions.
  • Experience working in a customer oriented professional environment.
  • Proven organization skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timeliness and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet goals while working under limited supervision.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information and exercise discretionary judgment.
  • General computer skills, including spreadsheets, PowerPoint and HRMS.
  • Demonstrated record of accomplishments in applying HR concepts to difficult and complex assignments.
