Eaton is seeking an HR Manager for its Commercial & Residential Distribution Solutions (CRDS) business. Must have the ability to diagnose gaps between current and desired organization performance and deploy actions to resolve gap, including organization redesign, process change, coaching and training. Ensure organization practices align with Eaton Philosophy.+ Performance Management: Through the performance management system assure that annual employee job performance assessments are conducted. This includes the annual goal setting process, the annual assessment process and periodic feedback sessions that strive to raise the performance bar in the organization. Provide coaching and consulting to business leaders on effective performance management intervention.+ Employee Communications: Advocate employee communications processes that inform employees as well as to assure two-way communications between employees and management.+ Coaching, Consulting and facilitating: Provides guidance and direction to business leaders on human resource management policies, processes and systems.+ Training and Development: Manage these processes to facilitate employee development+ Legal Compliance: Assure that the business has in place processes that comply with country legal requirements in the areas of employment and employment administration. This includes several changing state and local jurisdictions across the United States.+ Compensation: Administer compensation programs to assure competitive pay practices through systems that strive to reward superior employee performance+ Employee Relations: Promotes positive employee relations and employee engagement.+ Talent Management and Retention: Develop talent acquisition plans that anticipate short/long-term business needs. Coach others on how to engage and retain key talent, identify when there is a retention risk and differentiate between wanted and unwanted turnover QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field+ 5+ years of HR experience+ Requires knowledge of accepted HR theory, policies, practices, laws, and regulations affecting such areas as: Wage and Salary Administration, Labor Relations, OSHA, EPA, Right-to-Know, FMLA.+ Administrative knowledge required includes Benefits Administration, Budgeting, Forecasting, Wage, and Salary Administration. Leadership and supervisory knowledge and skills are required.+ Strong emphasis on training development and facilitation skills.+ Must have strong conflict resolution skills.+ Must possess superior listening, excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to understand human behavioral patterns; ability to organize and plan, self-confidence, and a high energy level.+ Must have experience recruiting for top talent, both professional and production positions.+ Well-developed PC skills and solid/effective knowledge of Taleo, Oracle, Excel, Word and Power Point.+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications:+ Masters Degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or related field+ Experience in a manufacturing field+ SPHR/PHR certification is a plusPosition Criteria:+ This position requires substantial travel (50%) with limited planning due to business needs across 17 total sites.+ Rapid and unanticipated changes, which require constant re-prioritizing, are to be expected in this position.+ Ability to appropriately understand and diffuse tense situations is critical.+ This position exposes the incumbent to many proprietary and confidential business issues as well as personal employee issues which must be safeguarded.+ The incumbent must demonstrate impartiality concerning employee related issues and serving as an employee advocate when necessary.+ Interaction with other company facilities inside and outside of the CRDS business and as a result of employment related research is often necessary in this position.+ Understanding and interaction with employment commissions, agencies, organizations, benefit providers, workers compensation agencies, and other job-related organizations across the United States is ongoing.We make what matters work.
