Reporting Relationship:

The role will report to Chubb Global Services Assistant Vice President of Multinational Claim Reinsurance. The individual will communicate directly with internal management and other interdepartmental groups to resolve issues and provide ad hoc support when requested. There will also be opportunities to interact directly with our brokers, insureds, reinsurer’s, and risk managers to help resolve issues or concerns.

Key Responsibilities: (Successful Candidate)

The role is responsible for managing a set of accounts for Foreign and US produced Multinational Business. The analyst is responsible for calculating, billing, and notifying the insured and reinsurers of invoices on behalf of Foreign Casualty, Medical Risk and Foreign National Business Units. This involves notifying insured/reinsurers on a timely basis, preparation of billing packages to ensure accurate billing. Some work will pertain to complex claim issues and may involve difficult presentations to external and internal contacts. Role will also require the individual to create and execute special projects relating to the teams Quality Control of claims that have steadily increased because of growth in underwriting capabilities and expansion of multinational business.

  • Read an Interpret Binders, Policy Endorsements, and Reinsurance Agreements on complex cash flow accounts produced from US and overseas offices
  • Confirm and document interpretation with Underwriters
  • Work with Global Services and Overseas offices to provide presentations on billing capabilities as well as implementation for successful processing of loss billing.
  • Create the appropriate insured and reinsurance calculations, in multiple currencies, in FIRST from weekly feeds for payments and reserves
  • Provide technical training to staff on applications, international loss flow, and underwriting practices
  • Work independently on system enhancements and any new business study that requires system changes to our claims reinsurance process
  • Quality Control and approve manual calculations
  • Create and execute special projects relating to quality control of our claims stat and accounting practices and provide additional insight for corrective actions
  • Manage and take action on workflows and reports created from weekly load for appropriate attachment to contracts for billing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in many majors will be considered, with a slight preference to Risk Management or Business majors
  • Must be able to analyze and assess business situations, conceive appropriate translation for the various systems and design appropriate response to accurately manage and analyze loss billing
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use of data mining applications that are used to create or maintain databases, design spreadsheets, and create reports and documents.
  • Good communications skills, as well as demonstrated ability to persuade, negotiate and interface with various levels of internal and external management within a global environment.
  • Foreign language(s) helpful
  • Experience with Microsoft products is preferred (Excel, Visio, Access, etc.).
