What you will do:

Stryker’s Upper Extremities division is focused on making better outcomes easier for our Shoulder Arthroplasty customers. Our business unit is dedicated to improving patient outcomes, simplifying complex procedures, and embracing innovation with new industry-leading technologies. Product responsibilities for this position will be focused on Shoulder Arthroplasty hardware solutions.

  • General understanding of shoulder arthroplasty market, key competitors, and their relative strengths/weaknesses

  • Understand customer groups, including why customers buy the product or service

  • Identify critical customer needs and preferences

  • General understanding of general marketing principles such as segmentation, targeting, and product positioning

  • Support in the construction of the marketing plan with specific analysis and collaborate in the development of key strategic initiatives

  • Provides customer feedback to marketing and other cross-functional leadership

  • General understanding of basic budgeting principles

  • Support of sales training initiatives and programs as needed

  • Assesses business/sales trends for new product introduction, communicate to key stakeholders responsible for demand planning/production

  • General understanding of pricing and product/portfolio margin

  • General understanding of obsolescence planning

  • Track and report results/KPIs to marketing and sales leadership teams

  • Is the subject matter expert for applicable products/product lines and able to field technical questions (SME status will be achieved over time)

  • Supports presentations to leaders, sales, and customers

  • Leads the execution of key customer engagements and events that support critical business needs, including ensuring compliance requirements are understood and observed (where applicable)

  • Intentionally learns while gaining experience

  • Builds strong relationships with cross-functional business partners

  • Demonstrates project ownership and integrity of work

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 0+ years of work experience required


Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):

  • MBA preferred

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines

  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority

  • Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
