Responsibilities
State Farm Estimatics Department is looking for Auto Appraiser Interns to join their 2023 Summer Internship Program. When you join their team, you can feel good knowing you are helping our customers recover from the unexpected. The Auto Estimatics Appraiser is a highly technical role that involves the opportunity to address questions regarding vehicle damage and estimate content internally and externally. You will identify damage to vehicles, write and review vehicle repair estimates, and work closely with claims personnel in resolving claims.
Qualifications
Competitive candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Excellent customer service and decision-making skills
- Physical agility to allow for stooping, bending, and some physical lifting to adequately evaluate vehicle damage and create repair estimates
- A valid driver's license is required
Preferred Skills:
- Auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraiser experience
- Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License

Where you'll work:
This intern position is primarily located in NY City, NY and surrounding areas and Phoenix, AZ. Competitive candidates should reside within a commutable distance of these locations.
Auto Estimatics Appraisers in NY work remotely and Phoenix is hybrid requiring some time in the office. Both will be required to travel to auto shops for in-person inspections and may be asked to attend an onsite training session in Tempe AZ.
Hours of operation are typically 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM but may vary slightly to accommodate time zones
Internship Information
Dates: May 22, 2023 - August 4, 2023
Salary: $20/per hour
