KEY OBJECTIVE:

Reporting to the SVP, Corporate Finance & Corporate Insurance & Risk Management, the position supports the Corporate Insurance and Risk Management (CIRM) department regarding all aspects of corporate insurance programs. Responsibilities include compilation of underwriting information and coverage placement, claims administration, loss forecasting and analysis and premium billing and expense allocation. The position also provides system and data integrity support and develops scheduled and ad hoc reports for Chubb Global Treasury Management, Chubb business units, and related third parties, including Chubb’s insurance brokers and carriers. The position corresponds regularly with Business Unit leadership and Support staff, insurance brokers, and the insurance companies participating in Chubb's corporate insurance program.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Gather and analyze claims, financial, insurance marketplace and exposure data for annual insurance program renewals; develop conclusions about data trends and coverage needs. Help develop renewal strategies for meetings with insurance carriers and brokers
  • Prepare renewal applications and related forms for submission to carriers. Actively participate in renewal meetings and assist in negotiations. Review broker and insurance carrier quotes and make recommendations to Risk Management Department. Interact with company program underwriting experts/leads on policy language, market trends and developments vis-a-vis various CIRM program renewals.
  • Review policy forms at each renewal for accuracy to negotiated terms; order changes or corrections from brokers and insurance carriers
  • Maintain and administer insurance databases and systems and develop reports for analytical purposes and for delivery to corporate actuarial
  • Analyze data and policy forms, perform fact-finding, and create ad hoc reports or white papers in response to specific questions. Interact with company legal department on policy language and application to claim scenarios.
  • Identify insurable risk exposures
  • Implement Corporate Risk Management programs and initiatives
  • Promote loss control and loss prevention activities within the organization
  • Evaluate and respond to contract reviews from various business units related to insurance requirements of vendors
  • Aid in the development of an Insurance Certificate database for responding to internal certificate requests
  • Group owner for CIRM “Village” site
  • Aid in the development of annual insurance expense plans, forecasts and allocations
  • Assist / participate in various corporate finance / capital market activities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or similar program

Experience

  • Minimum of four years’ experience in insurance or risk management.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities with emphasis on problem solving and data analysis
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and insurance based RMIS systems
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret contract and insurance documents and forms. Claims, underwriting and legal experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work with staff at all levels, both internal and external
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task a must,
  • Ability to travel (when we return to a normal environment)

· Professional Designation - CRM, ARM, or CPCU
