As a part of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to be a part of driving IBM's ongoing transformation as a company that continuously innovates and leads the market.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Insurance SME for the FEMA/FIMA National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Change Management Project provides a range of expertise in the areas of property and casualty insurance organizational strategy and business operations, product development and product launch to support a major transformation in how FEMA assesses flood risk for NFIP policyholders. The insurance SME collaborates with both the FEMA client and Change Management and Integration team members to ensure that the change management solutions and the Team's day to day work activities take into consideration insurance industry perspectives on the flood insurance product and the transition to FEMA's new rating approach for assessing individualized flood risk.The Insurance SME works across project multiple project workstreams including the Rate Development/Actuarial Team and the Risk Rating Engine Team, and across multiple functions of the Federal Insurance Directorate including Underwriting, Industry Management, Marketing & Outreach, NFIP Direct to facilitate the development of business decisions, rules and guidance necessary to transition from current practice to the new Risk Rating 2.0 system.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ 10+ years of experience working in the property and casualty insurance industry+ Experience leading a program through a change in products (new product development/product launch)+ Experience in insurance operations and the insurance industry value chain (including new business sales, policy renewals, endorsements, cancellations, reformations, reporting and functional areas such as underwriting, claims, actuarial science)+ Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)+ English: FluentPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Knowledge of Federal insurance programs particularly the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)+ Consulting industry experience+ Experience with large-scale organizational transformations+ Security Clearance: United States - MBIAbout Business UnitIBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
