Leidos has a career opportunity for a Chief Security Officer (CSO) located in Reston, VA.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for leading, managing and directing the activities of the Leidos Global Security Organization. The position is responsible for effectively mitigating security operational and regulatory risks while maintaining compliance with US and foreign government national security standards. The CSO is the senior security officer for the corporation and the company Insider Threat Program Senior Official.

Scope of responsibility includes workplace and physical security, insider risk mitigation, counterintelligence and special investigations, classified system certification and inspections, classified work area accreditations, business continuity planning and crisis management operations, executive protection, personnel security clearance processing, investigation of security violations, and security awareness and training.

The CSO will develop and implement global asset protection strategies consistent with corporate risk reduction priorities set in collaboration with other corporate executives. The CSO will also ensure a high degree of compliance consistent with regulatory, contractual and internal standards. In doing so the CSO will ensure the Global Security Organization remains aligned with and responsive to the business needs of the corporation. The CSO will also maintain a network of security, intelligence and law enforcement leaders in industry and government to facilitate execution of their responsibilities and resolve important matters external to the corporation.

PRIMARY RESPONIBILITIES:
•Develop and implement the Leidos global security strategy inclusive of security operational risk and industrial security risk reduction aligned with Leidos corporate needs
•Build and execute supporting material and non-material resourcing plans in support of the Leidos global security strategy
•Lead the ongoing transformation and professional development of the security workforce to promote the Leidos values of inclusion, collaboration, integrity, innovation, commitment and agility
•Lead the Leidos multi-functional business continuity planning process and serve as chair of the Leidos Crisis Management Team
•Leads the Leidos insider risk management program across the corporation, designing and overseeing effective insider risk mitigation objectives
•Co-chairs the Leidos Security Council with the Chief Information Security Officer and determines matters of governance and oversight necessary for review by the Leidos Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors
•Chairs the Leidos Security Clearance Committee and determines optimization objectives for the utilization of cleared personnel to meet business needs
•Develops, promulgates and oversees Leidos security policy for all subordinate entities both inside and outside the Leidos global security organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•Demonstrated success in leading a complex security organization inclusive of responsibilities and duties described above
•Advanced business knowledge, and executive management and leadership capabilities proved in dynamic risk based environments
•Requires a BA/BS and 15+ years of prior relevant experience, Master’s degree is preferred
•Requires an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
