Security Platform Lead will lead the effort of a successful global endpoint security platform support team. Resource will lead a 24x7 security endpoint team, drive innovation, process improvement, and security efficiencies, and lead the charge for strengthening Organon’s security program. This is a senior & lead position for Global Endpoint Security Platform Support Team.

Security Platform Lead will be a key member of the Security Operations Center team with the Business Technology Risk Management & Security (BTRMS) organization and report to the Security Operations Center Lead.

Primary Activities/ responsibilities include:

  • Incident coordinator to ensure all 24x7 team members work on the most relevant activities

  • Lead projects & initiatives to drive risk reduction and efficiency in operations

  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of activities and statuses

  • Deliver technical training / mentoring to Junior Platform Support Security Analyst and Senior Platform Security Analyst in areas such as operational incident handling/mitigation, platform analysis, platform support, security best practices

  • Analyze data, perform platform OS, network performance analysis for troubleshooting and researching platform issues, discover and identify the source of problems and escalate operational incidents as needed

  • Identify and evaluate technology risks internally and/or at third parties, identify controls which mitigate risks, and look for opportunities for control improvements

  • Understand defence-in-depth strategies and apply those to the Organon environment

  • Provide seniority and oversight

  • Ensure team availability and shift schedule

  • BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or Information Systems

  • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity including computer and network security experience

  • Experience leading a team for at least 1 year

  • Being able to analyze configurations, as well as recommend hardening configuration settings for networks, operating systems, applications, databases, and other information system components

  • Demonstrated analytic expertise – including the ability to think critically and logically in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Adaptable, willing to learn, and ready to grow in a changing environment

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills


  • Excellent foundation in information security controls, guidelines, and standards (ISO27000 series, OWASP, CSA CCM, CIS 20 Critical Security Controls, SOC 2 and NIST)

  • Technical knowledge and understanding of security concepts, principles, and best practices in areas such as Endpoint and Network Security, Identity and Access Management, Security protocols, Web Applications, Cloud Security, Vulnerability Management, Patch Management, SIEM/SOC, etc.

  • Experience in working with information security risk assessments based on security policies, industry standards, guidelines, and best practices, including experience conducting assessments of 3rd party vendors

  • Ability to review application functionality and architecture to advise and assist project teams in building compensating controls where security requirements cannot be met
