Project Manager - Physical Security (Job Number: 2224560 )

This position will ensure that proper security tools and systems are in place (i.e. hardware and equipment) at all field locations and that operators are utilizing the tools correctly. Additionally, this position will proactively identify and make necessary recommendation (including requests from Corporate Security and/or Field Operations) for improving overall facility security. Also required of this role are managing project budgets, schedules, and invoice payments and reporting out to multiple levels of leadership.

Responsibilities:

Using functional expertise, proactively assess and manage facility security projects/programs to include:

  • Supervision of contractors, project administration and budgeting for physical security projects (typically under $100,000)

Financial Analysis:

  • Perform value engineering
  • Contract negotiations
  • Bid analysis and contractor selection
  • Invoice review and processing
  • Project/program costs estimates and analysis which are valid and accurate.
  • Assist senior leaderships decision on the feasibility of projects/programs
  • Relentless oversite to ensure security tools, systems and maintenance of such physical security systems are operating at full capacity and effectiveness as designed within their region of responsibility.

Customer Relationships:

  • Create and maintain strong internal relationships.
  • Provide critical information to management as needed.
  • Provide reliable technical support to Field Customers
  • Create and maintain strong and appropriate relationships with key service providers and business partners.
  • Effective collaboration with Administration Staff, Operations Customers, and service providers/business partners.
  • Maximizing associate safety and profit by mitigating financial loss from theft, fraud and lawsuits caused by associate error and or misapplication of Penske policy and procedure.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 4 year degree in Criminal Justice related field required
  • 5 - 7 years’ field experience in overseeing installation, configuration and maintenance of security systems and components
  • Demonstrate expertise and organizational skills in facilities security best practices of facilities
  • Experience with rollout and management of large scale national programs rollout and management
  • Background in facility security systems is a must; background in construction is a plus.
