Our business helps support their way of life and contributes to the survival of a culture that has thrived in a challenging environment.The Shift Lieutenant will direct and provide technical assistance for on-duty Security Services personnel engaged in enforcing federal/state laws and DoD security requirements on the installation. Responds to all incidents, accidents, and emergencies and directs activities. Ensures accurate and timely submission of all required investigative reports. Coordinates with the customer to ensure procedures, tests, evacuations, conferences, etc., are properly implemented. Makes work assignments within the section. Keeps management informed of potential work related problems. Performs other related duties as required.**Job responsibilities:**+ Plans, directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for his/her assigned shift; assigns work activities, projects, and programs: reviews and evaluates work products, methods, and procedures of assigned shift to ensure compliance: and to ensure safe work practices, quality and accuracy; meets with shift personnel to identify and resolve problems+ Responds to all incidents, accidents and emergencies and direct on-scene deployment and activities of responding protective services officers+ Coordinates training and assists with company evaluation programs for shift personnel+ Provides positive motivation for employee performance; identifies and resolves shift deficiencies and initiates discipline procedures+ Supervises, reviews and participates in the preparation of reports and other written material and the maintenance of departmental records; inspects departmental equipment and ensures that deficiencies are corrected+ Makes checks of posted protective services officer members for alertness and well-being+ Trains on-duty security services officers as required+ Maintains, controls, and completes inventory of all government and personal weapons and equipment of the Armory+ Issues and receives weapons for security services officers in compliance with all safety regulations+ Ensures all shift personnel are knowledgeable of regulations, policies and requirements of their assignment+ Ensures all personnel are mentally and physically fit for duty**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:**+ Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance+ Possess a valid state drivers license+ Possess a TN Armed Security Guard license+ Possess high school diploma or equivalent+ Three years of experience in military or civilian police profession in a leadership position+ Must successfully complete pre-employment fitness test and annual fitness test thereafter, consisting of: 200 Meter Run, Sit-ups: 20 repetitions, Push-ups: 25 repetitions, 1 Mile Run/Walk<=12minThe duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
