You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Federal Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.In this exciting role, you will be a key resource for IBMs GBS clients, analyzing business requirements to design, engineer, and implement the best security solutions for their needs.You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world.* Job Duty 1 with 70% of time - Security Engineer and Solutions Development work* Job Duty 2 with 20% of time - Internal/external meetings and delivery* Job Duty 3 with 10% of time - Mentoring Jr and mainline Security EngineersRequired Technical and Professional Expertise+ Experience providing information systems security engineering or architecture assistance to support continuous development and delivery of Security tooling in support IBM Federal MSS SOC operations+ Assisting customers in developing and maintaining a secure Cybersecurity Baseline that meets RMF for DOD IT and other certifications and specifications as required.+ Working with customers and internal delivery teams on designing, deploying, configuring and integrating our products in their environment and workflows+ Working with internal Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Risk and Incident Response teams on developing and managing the needed configurations for Security tools.+ Recommending process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliability+ Knowledge of security frameworks including MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, NIST CSF, etc+ Assist in the preparation of network infrastructure specifications or designs incorporating required information security features.+ Experience with the following specific tools: QRadar, IBM Resilient, Nessus Security Center, Trend Micro AV, EDR, and other security technologies+ Sec+ Minimum Required, CISSP desired+ Security Clearance: Clearable to DoD SecretPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Knowledge in various scripting and programming languages (Java, Perl, R, Python, C++ etc.) a plus+ Hands on Experience with Threat hunting and threat intelligence data+ GIAC and/or other security certifications preferred, but not required+ Security clearance: United States - Top Secret/SCIUS CitizenshipAbout Business UnitIBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
