At IBM, you will use the latest software development tools, techniques and approaches and work with leading minds in the industry to build solutions you can be proud of.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesLocation for this role: Fredericton, Ottawa or Markham.IBM Security is looking for an experienced UX Researcher who has a passion for unearthing human insights, help champion high quality design through impactful user research and through rigorous testing.You will help provide actionable and meaningful data-driven insights that represent the voice of multiple cybersecurity and information technology users. You will collaborate across development, design, and marketing teams to evaluate current, and future designs to ensure they are helping to drive towards thoughtful product definition and business goals. You will help to cultivate a healthy community for design research to flourish, building up our practices and advocating for the integrity and ethics of design research. You will help to enforce high quality standards for our products and for our users, backed up by research.Your responsibilities will include the following:+ Helping to build up a healthy practice of design research, from planning to execution.+ Execute benchmarking studies to ensure delivered products are exceeding our client expectations.+ Serving as a guide to the research-curious and facilitate them on their path to conduct research on their own.+ Write participant screeners and discussion guides for benchmarking evaluations.+ Recruit targeted end-user for specific research studies.+ Help develop and implement quantitative surveys.+ Translate user insights into actionable recommendations for the product team.+ Collaborate with other researchers in Security to improve practices and cross-pollinate information to bring our products closer together.+ Create human-centered stories and artifacts to communicate insights across the design and development teams.+ Present design research findings to the larger team in a clear and organized fashion.+ Work closely with the product team to identify research objectives that help support overall business strategy.+ Help align teams on how to prioritize work to be done from evaluations.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ English Fluent (verbal and written)+ Min 3- 5 years in successfully driving strategic and tactical research.+ Experience in applying mix-method studies to get to insights.+ Excellent written, verbal communications, storytelling, and documentation skills.+ Enjoy working in a fast-paced, highly dynamic, rapidly growing environment.Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Technical background.+ Proficient in Design Thinking methodologies.+ Experience leading a workshop for clients and stakeholders.+ Network administration or IT domain knowledge is a plus.+ Legal working statusAbout Business UnitIBM is a leading provider of enterprise security solutions.
