Curiosity is a must!The job is located at the IBM Canada Software Lab in Markham Ontario, one of the largest Research and Development (R&D) facilities in Canada.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ Minimum 2 years of experience in design, coding, and testing one or more major software projects in Java+ Intermediate coding experience in C+ Basic zOS fundamentals knowledge+ Working knowledge of cryptography and communications security+ Experience with scripting (e.g. ant, groovy, etc.)+ Experience with DevOps environments (Jenkins, Travis, UCD, etc.)+ Experience working in Unix-like operating systems+ Experience with Open-source development tools and projects+ Excellent communication skills and proven ability in influencing open-source community developers, academic and industry partnersPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Minimum 5 years of experience in design, coding, and testing one or more major software projects in Java and C+ Experience in low-level programming (e.g. assembly language) and low-level debugging+ Experience in the area of JCE Framework/Java Security/TLS+ Working knowledge of IBM Z software and hardware, inclusive of security capabilities+ Legally eligible to work in Canada without sponsorshipAbout Business UnitThe IBM Compiler Group is looking for experienced software developers to join our world class Compiler Team.
