If so, lets talk.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe IBM Research I/T organization provides prototype, pilot and production I/T services to the Research organization and to select partner organizations and projects. The organization is looking for a qualified security specialist to join the team. The job will entail direct, hands-on interaction with a variety of general systems, security components, related security devices and their associated management platforms. Candidates should be comfortable with various levels of the solution lifecycle such as, planning new solutions, deployment, integration, enhancing existing services and operational support. Since integration of components and enhancing existing services will be a key focus area, the person should also be adept at troubleshooting, analysis and be able to do some light programming (scripting).Working with both local and global teams will be an integral part of the job and applicants should have strong teaming and communication skills.Required Technical and Professional Expertise+ Bachelor's Degree or 5 Years experience in I/T Security and Networking+ 2) Specific experience with the following:+ Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems+ Software Development and Programming+ Linux systems administration+ 3) Proven communication and teaming skillsPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ 1) Mastor's Degree or 7 Year's experience in I/T Security+ 2) Recognized security certification, such as CISSP+ 3 Specific experience with the following:+ Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM)+ Vulnerability scanners+ Next Generation Firewall solutions+ Network intrusion devices+ NoneAbout Business UnitWith more than 3,000 researchers in 12 labs located across six continents, IBM Research brings together hundreds of researchers who possess unparalleled industry expertise to address some of the world's most challenging problems.
