Do it here.What youll be doing...Job Background/ContextThe primary mission of the Verizon Corporate Security Organization is to ensure the safety and security of employees, proprietary information, assets, and facilities. Corporate Security acts as a resource for employees, to provide information on a wide variety of subjects ranging from traveler safety, physical security, global intelligence, international matters, security compliance, workplace safety, and issues relating to law enforcement.This role is responsible for leading the optimization and execution of the Physical Security Program. Elements include facilities, assets, Employee Safety, Workplace Violence Prevention and Threat Assessment Program. This role requires demonstrated expertise in managing threat information feeds, Personnel Safety, Facility Risk Assessments and familiarity with Information Technology and threat stream resources.This role includes operational management and oversight of issues involving security operations, incident investigations, risk assessments, event protection, site/building security monitoring, and access control. This position will support regional business offices and staff to ensure the security of staff, assets and operations across the region.Job DescriptionThe Executive Director (ED), Verizon Corporate Security is responsible for managing an integrated program for security through the development and implementation of strategic security programs, created through interactions with senior management, other employees, external resources and key stakeholders. The ED will ensure that Verizon provides the necessary tools and education to protect Verizons employees, assets and facilities. The ED will provide the strategic vision integrating the Verizon Workplace Safety and Response Program throughout the corporation. The scope of the role include domestic sites within the United States. Some travel to these sites will be required. Additional responsibilities include:+ Oversees development of Corporate Securitys Workplace Violence Awareness and Prevention Program+ Development, training and oversight of a Threat Assessment Team+ Incorporate current technologies used to ensure appropriate technical tool set available to facilitate incident management and response+ Highly developed incident management skills and experience. Ability to actively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.+ Outstanding communication and presentation skills for Senior Executive briefings.+ Development and management of security plans to promote the protection and security of our employees, company guests, physical locations as well as the financial and intellectual assets of the company. This includes threat assessment, investigation, and communication.+ Coordinates operational matters with data driven intelligence and investigative functions of the company and with outside law enforcement agencies to ensure that threats, risks, and losses are identified, evaluated, prioritized and acted upon in a timely fashion.+ Responsible for the development of departmental budgets toward a secure and safe environment.+ Oversees ensuring all life / safety systems (CCTV, Access Control / Intrusion Alarms Systems, etc.) are maintained and functional to current technology.
