The Leidos Defense Group has a career opportunity for a Network Security Engineer in Stuttgart, Germany.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM and will require OCONUS travel. EUCOM operates multiple network enclaves, several of which provide critical Command and Control capabilities globally. EUCOM is looking to rapidly expand their network footprint and capacity. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Build, operate and maintain several enterprise networks and have extensive experience and technical knowledge of both Enterprise and Data Center network security architecture.
•Work with a team of network engineers, system administrators and voice engineers in support of several geographically dispersed regional networks and interconnected data centers.
•Ensure the maintenance of multiple network enclaves, consisting primarily of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls with support for other vendor products (e.g. KLAS, DTech, F5 etc.).
•Design complex network security solutions and have extensive experience working with IPSEC DMVPN/VPN technologies, next gen firewalls, IPS, and SSL decryption capabilities, in addition to experience with network automation technologies.
•Troubleshoot complex problems to closure; the candidate must demonstrate strength in this area as part of the selection process.
•The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing and supporting all network infrastructure devices, to include; switching and routing devices, firewalls, load balancers, and in-line network encryption devices.
•Configure devices in accordance with security policies; develop and maintain IP address schemes for all assigned networks; and manage circuit provisioning throughout the delivery life cycle.
•Monitor capacity and utilization of network resources; provide trending and capacity planning services to analyze and plan for efficient utilization and management of the network.
•Troubleshoot and correct all detected or reported network faults or outages. Provide assistance via remote access, phone, or in person.
•Perform site surveys, configuration and engineering, installation planning and documentation services for the customer as they relate to all network services.
•Analyze network protocols, routing standards and procedures, traffic patterns and data flow, and providing equipment implementation and upgrade recommendations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
•BA/BS + 5 years recent specialized or AA/AS + 7 years recent specialized or a major cert + 9 years recent specialized or 13 years of recent specialized experience.
•Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert certification (Security).
•Experience next gen firewalls (Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto).
•Experience in SSL decryption devices (F5 Orchestrator preferred).
•Experience in load balancing devices (F5 or Citrix preferred).
•Experience in Microsoft Visio and ability to produce detailed network diagrams.
•Must have DoD IAT Level II certification or greater (Sec+, etc.)
•Cisco Certified Internet Expert (Data Center preferred, Enterprise also considered).
•Enterprise level experience designing, engineering, operating and maintaining network infrastructures within an enterprise environment.
•Must have an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•ITIL v3/v4 – Foundation.
•Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs.
•Understanding of Department of Defense Military standards.
•Experience with DoD IT security requirements.
