Job Description:
The Defense Group at Leidos currently has openings for Security Administrator to support an expansive Navy program. This position is part of a large program supporting Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN). Use your confidence to learn new tasks related to Defense Program Security and implement security procedures that will prevent unauthorized access to customer and company information. Ensure aspects of the Leidos core capabilities are compliant.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for executing procedures and processes to provide physical protection for personnel and company property, day-to-day damage, vandalism, loss prevention and other related security risk programs and meets required codes and regulations. Compiles data for loss control and accident reports. Supports and conducts internal investigations in accordance with legal requirements and company policies. Work performed at a higher level may include implementing and providing guidance to customers and management on personal or physical security issues such as security training, regulatory requirements, security policies and procedures and emerging trends in physical and or personal security.
Basic Qualifications.
Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of prior relevant experience.
Prior experience developing processes and workflows to create efficiencies within the PMO
Comprehensive understanding of the background investigation process
Ability to identify security risks report to stakeholders and program leadership
Ability to problem solve, and escalate issues, when needed
Ability to effectively communicate with program leadership, program personnel, and functional staff
Proven experience in a front office role providing quality customer service to numerous government and private entities
U.S. Citizenship and Secret Clearance
Assist Security Manager with facility access control
Create employee badges for new/visiting personnel
Verify clearance and correct submission of VAL through security program DISS
Submit base access requests for sub-contractors and vendors
Assist in personnel site visits and inspections
Brief /Debrief personnel on documents needed for required facility access and paperwork
Knowledge of Lenel access control systems
Conduct daily PDS walks through facility to assure no breach of classified information
Consistently demonstrates responsibility, accountability and dependability
Other related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Industrial Security
Knowledge of NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, DISS, NISS, DBIDS
Resourceful in solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities
Professional Certifications/Affiliations
TS clearance
