Work you'll do

As a Cloud Security Senior Consultant, you will be at the front lines with our clients supporting them with their Cloud Cyber Risk needs specifically helping them navigate the journey to the cloud on the Microsoft 365 platform. This will include:

  • Conducting cloud security analysis, evaluating configurations, and providing recommendations of prospective clients' O365, EMS, and W10 platforms and environments based on Deloitte's Cloud Cyber Risk Framework. This can include Microsoft's cloud solutions such as Microsoft 365 Defender, Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS), Microsoft Information Protection (MIP), Conditional Access, Intune, Azure Defender, and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Performing technical health checks for these Cloud platforms/environments prior to broader deployments.
  • Supporting Proof of Concept (PoC) and Production deployments of these cloud technologies.
  • Assisting clients with transitions to the M365 cloud services such as tenant setup and service configuration with a focus on cloud cyber risk mitigation.
  • Assisting clients with the configuration and delivery of cloud security and compliance reports.
  • Providing technical support for M365 services and resolve service-related issues through research and troubleshooting and working with Microsoft.
  • Implementation of industry leading practices around M365 cyber risks and cloud security for clients.
  • Designing and developing cloud-specific security policies, standards and procedures e.g., Cloud governance, O365 tenant management and configuration, EMS policy development, management and access controls, firewall management, auditing and monitoring, security incident and event management, data protection (DLP and encryption), user and administrator account management, conditional access controls and password/key management.
  • Troubleshooting system level problems in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol network environment.
  • Documenting platform technical issues, conducting analysis, developing client communications, and driving resolution as part of cyber risk mitigation steps.
  • Executing on M365 cloud security engagements during different phases of the lifecycle - Assess, Design, Implement, and Operate.
  • Implementing industry leading practices around M365 cyber risks and cloud security for clients.
  • Providing internal technical training to Advisory personnel as needed.
  • Supporting the Managed Services Team on client calls as necessary.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cloud cyber risk for the M365 platform.

Required:

Working experience in at least two of the areas listed below:
  • 4+ years of experience in technical consulting, client problem solving, with architecting and designing solutions.
  • 4+ years of hands-on technical experience with Microsoft 365 enterprise-level messaging and collaboration services (e.g., Teams, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online) in implementation and operations.
  • 4+ years of hands-on technical experience with enterprise-level systems management systems such as SCCM and endpoint engineering, or Mobile Device Management (e.g. Intune) implementation or operations
  • 4+ years of hands-on technical experience Identity and Access Management (IAM) on Active Directory (Integration, consolidation)

Ideally the following cloud-related technical experience:
  • 3+ years of working with different Cloud platforms (Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)) and environments (Public, Private, Hybrid) in a security role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on technical experience implementing security solutions for Microsoft technologies such as Office 365, EMS, Windows 10, and Azure Active Directory.
  • 2+ years of working knowledge with Microsoft Cloud service provider technologies.
  • 1+ years of working knowledge with Microsoft Information Protection and other O365 security and compliance technologies.
  • 1+ years of hands-on technical experience enterprise-level Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems implementation or operations.

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • BA/BS degree required. Ideally in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, Information Technology.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:
  • Certifications such as: Microsoft certifications (MS-500, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, and SC-400) CCSP, CCSK, CISSP, CCNP, and CCNA.
