Job Description:

Global Information Grid (GIG) Service Management-Operations (GSM-O), a Defense Group of Leidos has an opening for a Network Information Security Senior at Scott AFB, IL. You must hold an active Secret Clearance to begin work on this program and must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret Clearance per customer requirement.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Network Information Security Senior is responsible for protecting DISA’s information and information systems from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording and destruction. Duties include managing and enforcing of security strategies and policies within established guidelines. Areas of responsibilities include IT Security Strategy, Cyber Security, and Compliance and Risk Management supporting IT Security and Compliance Teams. The individual will report to the applicable Service Delivery Manager and be a member of a team supporting the daily security operations of the GSM-OSS (Operational Support System). The individual is responsible to the program IAM for ensuring the appropriate operational Information Assurance (IA) posture is maintained for a DoD information system or organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Possess a working knowledge of the system or enclave functions, its technical IA safeguards, and its operational IA measures.

  • Must be flexible, dependable and be able to multi-task with priorities.

  • Must have extensive background in information systems to include Information Assurance, Computer Network Defense, and secure network configuration practices for servers, switches and routers.

  • Required to demonstrate proficiency with Network Management System servers (e.g., Linux and Windows).

  • Candidate will perform on enclave firewalls which include Cisco and Juniper firewalls.

  • Will be creating and maintaining system documentation and support accreditation activities.

  • Must satisfy both preparatory and sustaining DoD standard training and certification requirements as a condition of privileged access to any DoD information system.

  • Lead a team, responsible for the administration of Firewalls and other Information Assurance needs for the environment

  • Provide input and at times develop implementation plans necessary for critical project completion

  • Provide insight on strategic decisions pertaining to mission effectiveness and contract implementation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 8-12 years of overall related experience. Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Must have experience or training in IA and IA supporting technologies to include Cisco and Juniper firewalls, authentication technologies (e.g., Active Directory), directory services, and vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, nmap).

  • At least 3 years Linux or Windows experience.

  • Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, e.g. Security+ce or higher.

  • currently possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to acquire a Top Secret clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience or training in IA and IA supporting technologies such as Network Intrusion Detection Systems (e.g., Securify).

  • Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi 5.

  • ITIL certification.
