Work you'll do

  • Seeking an Information System's Security Engineer (ISSE). We are seeking candidates to join the systems engineering team as an ISSE to facilitate secure systems deployment and sustainment of new capabilities.
  • The ISSE will provide on-site technical security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and Continuous Monitoring (CM) support for the client.
  • Working in close partnership with other members of the Information Security Team and across System's Engineering, the ISSE's responsibilities include reviewing system security requirements, verifying implementation, and providing mitigation recommendations throughout the lifecycle to facilitate secure systems deployment.
  • Additionally, the ISSE will develop and review system security plans, security control assessments, plan of actions and milestones (POA&M's), risk management plans, and conduct vulnerability scans.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role, Active Secret preferred
  • Experience working with RMF and NIST 800-53
  • Experience working with cyber security tools
  • Experience with cyber awareness (e.g., phishing emails, cyber trainings)
  • Experience with NIST, DISA, and DoD Security Standards and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes
  • Experience with DISA STIGs and SCAP
  • Understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Skill in the use of various types of office automation to includes Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Project and Access)
  • Superior verbal and written communication and customer service skills including presenting to senior government officials

Preferred:
  • Undergraduate degree in cyber security, IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Prior professional services or federal consulting experience
  • Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP)
