Job Description Summary:

The Lead Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business needs and processes and to act as a partnered liaison between the business and the technical team. He/She will be responsible for providing knowledge and expertise to IT, the business, and process owners, in identifying opportunities for technology. He/She is responsible for building strong collaborative relationships with the Corporate Functions teams, primarily focused on Legal & Compliance. He/She is responsible for understanding business processes, prioritizing work, eliciting and documenting requirements, and coordinating communication among various business groups and IT technical teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Corporate Functions Legal & Compliance teams.

  • Partner with business and technical teams to drive consensus on the best solution to business problems, and the delivery of new solutions and enhancements.

  • Improve the business analysis function by identifying opportunities to make things more efficient, mentoring junior business analysts, and continuously educating yourself on best practices.

  • Define tangible use cases that align desired technology output to objectives.

  • Recommend business process and system changes to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

  • Ensure clear communication between business stakeholders and IT technical teams.

  • Effectively elicit and document requirements and user testing scenarios in accordance with SDLC processes, and that result in technology designed to support the needs of the stakeholder.

  • Support effective organizational change management of technology implementations.

  • Manage monthly or quarterly enhancement release timelines and system changes.

Education and Special Trainings:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Computer Information Systems preferred

  • Qualification in Business Analysis or equivalent preferred

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience required

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization structure with significant emphasis on collaboration and persuasion, rather than relying entirely on command and control.

  • Experience with process mapping is required.

  • Experience documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand, evaluate and recommend changes to business processes is required.

  • Experience working with high level business stakeholders is required.

  • Experience working in a regulated environment is preferred.

  • Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to understand, analyze and report on financial data

  • Proven ability to build team cohesion and motivate people

  • Self-motivated and organized with a strong desire to succeed
