Karen D. Wood & Associates is offering an opportunity to join a high performing insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies. Karen D. Wood & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, is seeking an administrative support team member to join the San Diego, California office. We hire the best employees to serve our customers, making us a leader in the insurance and financial industry. Qualified candidates are responsible for providing administrative assistance to attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries, and leadership. Job duties include processing mail, new file intake, ordering/downloading records, occasionally assist in reception backup and other clerical tasks as assigned. The selected candidate well be reliable, detail oriented, adaptable, resourceful, and team oriented with a professional demeanor. Hours for this position are 8:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M., Monday-Friday.

The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend some time in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.

Potential salary range: $40,451.13 to $59,402.20

Potential yearly incentive pay up to 6% of base salary

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills both in person and over the phone
  • Accurate and efficient in an electronic environment, including experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and familiarity of the legal process, as well as legal and medical terminology is preferred
  • Civil Litigation Experience is preferred
  • Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work authorization (e.g., H-1B visa) for this opportunity***
