What you will do:

The Legal Coordinator works in a dynamic team environment to support a variety of investigations and daily operations for the Global Investigations team. This role will be responsible for supporting the processes, data, and reporting activities of the Investigations team and will collaborate with members of Stryker’s Legal and Compliance Department, Human Resources, and our business.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Detailed Description)

  • Managing databases responsible for monitoring internal investigations
  • Supporting the processes, data, and reporting activities relating to the Investigations activities and partnering with the Compliance and Employee Relations departments
  • Assisting in conducting internal investigations, including reviewing documents, taking notes of witness interviews, and preparing memoranda
  • Maintaining and organizing materials for committee meetings, attending meetings, and taking minutes
  • Coordinating discovery and responses to subpoenas or other requests, including the collection and production of materials
  • Partnering with legal operations on broader legal initiatives
  • Owning the administrative and support processes for: responses to government requests, legal invoice reconciliation, and outside resource coordination
  • Identify system or process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce cost

What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of Paralegal/Legal Assistant experience required
  • Investigations and compliance experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and verbal/written communication skills
  • A team player mentality
  • Comfortable working independently (including owning projects from start to finish) and in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of management and across functions
